OUR GOURMET GIFT hamper from the Aube region, A Premium FRENCH FOOD AND Champagne box

Experience the succulent delights of France Aube gastronomy, as you eat your way through this fabulous Champagne gourmet box.

Champagne Cuvée Réserve Brut, Pinot Noir dominant, from Les Riceys (37,5 cl)

champagne-aube-reserveWinery: Domaine Champagne Lamoureux Jean-Jacques, vigneron Vivien Lamoureux.

It’s champagne month at La Gourmet Box! You won’t find chemical fertilizers or insecticides in the vineyards of our Terra Vitis champagne producer with HEV 3 certification, for whom environmental sustainability is an absolute must. No complaints from us!

Made with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, this reserve cuvée, balanced with reserve wines, undergoes a long cellar ageing process that gives it a very noticeable maturity and intensity. Round in the mouth yet pleasantly fruity: a great champagne for a delightful tasting experience.

Serve your champagne chilled, ideally between 5º and 7º, to fully appreciate its nuances as an aperitif or paired with seafood, fish or white meat. In fact, why not have a glass with the sauerkraut included in your gourmet hamper?

Crisp and crunchy whole hemp seeds (200 g)

hemp-seedsArtisan: Ferme Familiale Grains de Nature, Marie-Laure Savoure Guy.

Marie-Laure grows hemp on her family farm with absolutely no pesticides. While every part of the hemp plant is useful, here we’re interested in the seeds. Often considered a superfood given their high nutritional value (including an incredible amount of vitamin E), hemp seeds taste amazing raw or lightly roasted.

Use them on salads, yoghurt, vegetable dishes and anything else your taste buds crave.

Chaour’Sec®, dry skinless pork sausages with a hint of farmhouse Chaource cheese (170 g)

saucisson-chaource-aubeArtisan: Guilleminot Boucherie, Charcuterie et Traiteur, Chef Cyril Guilleminot.

Trained at the hospitality school in Paris and winner of several medals for his delicatessen products, Cyril Guilleminot likes to give his traditional creations a novel twist.

This delicious artisanal sausage contains a hint of Chaource, the iconic cow’s milk cheese from the Aube region, and imitates its conventional presentation.

However, this original idea doesn’t compromise the product’s authentic flavours: a culinary success!

Boudintella®, black pudding spread with champagne jelly (180 g)

boudintella-champagneArtisan: Guilleminot Boucherie, Charcuterie et Traiteur, Chef Cyril Guilleminot

The artisan’s clever play on words, combining boudin noir (black pudding) with the name of a famous chocolate and hazelnut spread, is quite artful, but it’s nothing compared to the artisanal flavour of his product.

This black pudding terrine with champagne jelly is a true delight, a savoury spread we know you’ll enjoy.

Authentic old-fashioned sauerkraut generously seasoned with meats and sausages (600 g)

sauerkraut-champagneArtisan: La Choucrouterie Laurent, spécialiste de la Choucroute et du légume cuisiné, André Laurent.

Aube is close to eastern France, the home of sauerkraut, and although this cabbage-based dish is usually associated with the cuisine of Alsace-Lorraine, it’s also quite popular in neighbouring regions.

Since 1906, the Laurent sauerkraut factory has been growing cabbages in Blignicourt, in a protected environment in the heart of the Champagne region. In this unique setting, our talented artisans have managed to create an exceptionally smooth, light sauerkraut made with cabbages grown on farms with HEV (High Environmental Value) certification.

Considering that the father, Michel Laurent, was trained as a butcher, it’s no wonder their sauerkraut is so delicious. Why not enjoy it with a glass of champagne?

Flaky praline bar with voluptuous Piedmont hazelnuts dipped in 40% milk chocolate (80 g)

praline-caffetArtisan: Maison Caffet - Chocolatier Pâtissier, Pascal Caffet.

A true master of praline, Pascal Caffret won the titles of Best Pastry Artisan in France in 1989 and World Dessert Champion in 1995 before becoming an artisanal producer in Aube.

He has no qualms about advertising his creations as “undoubtedly the world’s best pralines”.

We haven’t yet tried every praline in the world, but we can guarantee that chocolate lovers will have a blast with this bar.

Tasty old-fashioned Othe cider-flavoured apple jelly (215 g)

apple-jelly-cider-otheArtisan: Caramel & Confitures, chef confiturier, Thierry Potier.

Because Aube isn’t just champagne, we wanted to give you a taste of Othe’s famous cider in the form of a delicious jelly made by an artisan as endearing as he is talented. He makes his preserves the old-fashioned way, preparing small batches in heavy copper basins to ensure optimum cooking and incomparable flavour.

With no added colouring or preservatives, we bet you’ll savour every bite of this jellied gem.

Bon Voyage Champagne to Aube !
