The grapes are harvested by hand so that they can be carefully selected, guaranteeing high-quality champagnes, which are aged in the cellar for a minimum of 5 years... We offer this critically acclaimed Brut Nature white champagne (Revue du Vin de France, Bettane & Desseauve, etc.) as an alternative to traditional brands. The 2016/2015 harvests give structure to this 100% Meunier champagne: a great ‘blanc de Noir’ champagne (Meunier is a grape variety with black skins).
The absence of dosage (no sugar added to the liqueur d'expédition: all champagnes without this mention have sugar added) allows an explosion of aromas to develop on the nose. Beautiful balance on the palate between liveliness and sweetness. A salty, mouth-watering finish. Surprising as an aperitif, it will be wonderful with a meal, especially with oysters, shellfish, etc. This Nature cuvée lives up to its name: without dosage, what it loses in sugar it gains in finesse.

This gourmet spread will quickly become a staple for your vegetarian aperitifs! The white truffle and cep cream is delicious spread on toast or lightly toasted brioche. It will melt into the brioche before delighting your palate. You will find the elegant and rich taste of cep mushrooms in its melt-in-the-mouth texture, enhanced by white truffles that release their magnificent aromas, all supported by a wonderful texture.

Artisan: Foie Gras Famille Regaud, artisan cannery in south-western France.
‘Lou Pastou’ means shepherd. This poetic term from the local dialect refers to a delicious combination of tasty country pâté enveloping a melt-in-the-mouth centre of artisan duck foie gras. The coarse texture of the artisanal pâté perfectly highlights the texture and rounded flavour of the foie gras. A little treat for a festive aperitif!
Artisan: Biscuiterie Papillon Bio, Ardèche.
Recently discovered, we were really impressed by these biscuits, which resemble breadsticks: crispy, of course, ideal for spreading or snacking on when you're feeling peckish, but above all, they taste wonderful.
It is very rare to be able to give a biscuit a real taste of thyme and good olive oil, and we have tasted many. Let us know what you think!
Artisan: Maison Patignac, Conserverie Fine du Volvestre.
Elisabeth and Denis Patignac. And here is another gourmet product that is a must-have in any generous gourmet aperitif basket. For good duck rillettes, you obviously need good meat, but the key is in the cooking. As before, our artisan cooks the meat very slowly in its own fat overnight before shredding it by hand in the early morning and mixing it with a little duck fat in its jar: this allows it to finish cooking slowly, resulting in truly creamy and flavourful rillettes. And with a generous addition of artisanal foie gras, it's a real treat for an aperitif...
As in the Gascony region, enjoy them with a slice of country bread on a bed of salad, and if you have a small pan of fresh cep mushrooms to accompany it all...

Bask in the warm southern sun a little while longer with this terrine scented with lavender, Provence's most famous flower. The deliciously aromatic blossom adds a hint of freshness to the mixture, making it the perfect way to liven up an ordinary salad. Surprise your guests with this cheerful, original combination!

To round out this feast of Provençal flavours, we propose a sophisticated, subtle terrine made from figs, one of the region's characteristic fruits. Serve with an endive salad for a match made in heaven.
Artisan: L'Attelier de Clisson.
At this small shop in Guérande, a town in southwest France famed for its butter and salt, every product is made using traditional methods and all-natural local ingredients. Nuts are the common denominator in every recipe, but they add sugar, caramel, spices or condiments to create a wide range of flavours and textures. For our box we chose organic caramelized cashew nuts seasoned with Kâmpôt pepper for their originality (a change from the more conventional cashews), surprising taste (the pepper-sweet contrast is outstanding) and super-extra-crunchy texture. These sinfully delicious morsels are too tempting to resist.
