A gourmet basket filled with products from small, authentic Provencal producers in the Var will take you on a voyage of discovery of an extremely rich, varied and high-quality culinary production. Between land and sea, the Var is a gastronomically rich region that's well worth discovering!
Organic winemakers: Le Domaine de la Fouquette, Vignoble Biologique, Isabelle and Jean-Pierre Daziano.
Gold medal Challenge millésime Bio 2024
Domaine de la Fouquette is located in a wild, unspoilt setting in the heart of the Massif des Maures, an exceptional landscape of umbrella pines, cork oaks and chestnut groves, home to almost 180 protected species.
The vineyard, certified organic by Ecocert, is classified as a Dénomination Géographique Complémentaire (DGC) of the AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée) Côtes de Provence.
The diversity of soils and thermal amplitude, as well as the great care taken with the vines, enable the Daziano family to produce highly successful organic wines.
We offer you their cuvée Rosée d'Aurore, a rosé blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats (16°C), giving this wine balance, finesse, freshness and intense aromatic notes (tangerine, grapefruit).
A true pleasure rosé that's the perfect accompaniment to your Var gourmet basket.
Artisan : La Maison de la Tapenade, Manufacturer of Artisanal Tapenades, Bruno and Virginie Fratellia
"In the region, no one waited for me to make Tapenade, but everything I tasted was either bad or not very good! - So I decided to give it a new lease of life! To make top-of-the-range Tapenade! This is the project of this couple of chefs who decided to tackle a Provençal monument, and we have to agree with them: their tapenade is delicious.
Check it out!
Artisan : Les Santolines, Creator & Manufacturer of Provençal Regional Products Derived from Wine, from Aperitif to Dessert.
Located in the heart of a pine forest in the center of the Var department, our artisan crafts delicious spreads with a southern flair.
We were seduced by their combination of asparagus and crunchy almonds for an original spread with great finesse.
Artisan : Les Santolines, Creator & Producer of Provençal Regional Products Derived from Wine from Aperitif to Dessert
And then, of course, for our Var gourmet box, we needed quality breadsticks to accompany the aperitif spreads we'd selected: crisp and hearty, we like to dip them in cream of asparagus or tapenade as an aperitif, accompanied of course by a small glass of rosé!
Artisan : Atelier Méditerranée, Condiment, épice et sucre en Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Benoit Adet
Benoît's workshop specializes in the aromatization of olive oil, mustard and salt, and since, of course, in the south of France, you can't do without herbs...de Provence, we thought it was only right to share this wonderful discovery with you when we tasted his Provence herb mustard.
Smooth and delicate: it's all there.
To accompany meat dishes or spice up your salad sauces, this mustard is a must.
Conserverie Artisanale de Provence: Au Bec Fin.
Rouille de Seiches" is a typical recipe from the South of France, a tasty dish that combines cuttlefish pieces with a spicy tomato sauce, without coloring agents or binders. It will delight the taste buds of even the most discerning gourmets.
Reheat over low heat and serve with pasta or a timbale of rice, steamed potatoes or polenta, for example.
Biscuiterie Artisanale: Biscuiterie Eric Navarro.
Carefully selected ingredients and recipes from our grandmothers to rediscover the taste of yesteryear in cookies with a southern flair: that was the program Eric Navarro set himself 30 years ago, and it's fair to say he's succeeded..
Croquant, also known as "lou cacho dènt" in Provençal ("tooth-breaker" when overcooked!), has been an emblematic cookie of the region for centuries.
Our artisan brings back the old-fashioned taste of these crisp, lightly-gilded cookies with a little extra: candied orange cubes delicately flavour these delicious crunchy biscuits.
Gourmet tip: serve with sorbet or fruit salad in summer, or dip in coffee.
As well as being excellent, these croquants will add a crunch to all your desserts.
Artisanal confectionery: Maison Jonquier, Benoit Adet.
As we entered this artisanal confectionery in Ollioules, a Provencal village nestled between the hills and the Mediterranean, we immediately understood why we hadn't doubted for a second after our tastings to include their nougat in our Provence gourmet box.
Since 1885, the Jonquier family has been driven by the same passion: to make exceptional nougat, respecting the gestures of yesteryear, and a visit to their workshop is highly instructive in this respect: the nougat is still made in the original copper cauldrons, and you can feel the tradition and the quest for artisanal quality when you visit their workshop, with the slow, controlled cooking that is the signature of their products.
New almonds of the year, honey from the neighboring hills of Provence, no additives, no preservatives.
Taste the difference with these delicious nougats!

Every month, we have our new gourmet boxes tested by independent testers (we don't pay them! We just send them one of our boxes), specialized in the world of gourmet boxes, to get external opinions (we'd obviously give them 10/10 every time...) and publicize our latest gourmet baskets, because we're proud of them, and we have to play the game of criticism...
The excellent results of our Ardennes gourmet box test on the Laboxdumois website: not bad!
